Inspiration comes from the coolest places, doesn't it? One of my favorite things to do is to take a design from one medium and translate it into another. Houndstooth seems to have found its way back into fashion. What was once on fabric, is now in beads :D

Step by Step Beads loved my pattern so much they published it in the Sep/Oct 2008 issue!

The bracelet will be a joy to wear. It won't get in the way of your computer work, your crafts, your dinner, your dancing. It weighs so little you may actually forget you're wearing it...but not for long because everyone else will notice it.

This bracelet is woven in peyote stitch using Japanese delica beads in simple matte black and turquoise. It is 1.25" wide and 6.6" long. The closure consists of a beaded loop and toggle created in the turquoise beads.

Not silly at all ;) It happens to be my favorite of the bunch as well. Partly because of the contrast, party because it's a very nontraditional take on a very traditional pattern.
